wedding wednesday, wedding wednesday raymond lee jewelers, engagement ring boca

Few experiences are as magical as the day you say, “I do,” and while there are many details that will clutter your mind as the big day approaches one that deserves plenty of considered attention is your first dance song. No doubt, you want something special, something different, something you can call your own. To ease your sodden mind of one more drop of stress, here are five of the most singular, danceable, and endearing first songs for your deliberation.

• Jack Johnson- Better Together

This jolly melody has a bouncy and acoustic quality that is ideal for a destination wedding in a tropical paradise.

• Ben Folds- Luckiest

Slow, touching and a little bit quirky, this piano-lead modern ballad perfectly expresses an indefinable love that transcends common clichéd metaphors.

• Adam Sandler- I Wanna Grow Old With You

Have fun with your first dance by using Adam Sandler’s sweet and humorous ode to real love from the movie “The Wedding Singer.”

• Nick Drake- Northern Sky

Mr. Drake’s hauntingly romantic voice gives this uplifting indie tune an ethereal quality that matches the occasionally abstract lyrics.

• Ingrid Michaelson- I Can’t Help Falling in Love

Miss Michaelson covers the classic for a heart-wrenchingly beautiful result.

These are just a few of the many unique songs available for your first dance; think about who you are as couple to ensure a personal and memorable choice.

Top 5 Men’s Fashion Trends 2012 Fall Season

The bland look of neatly pressed khaki pants and pastel oxford cloth shirts are out for men’s fashion. Here are the top five fashion trends for men who want to look smart and fashion wise this season.

Bold New Colors

September, 2012 brings bold color to men’s fall fashions. More conservative dressers don’t have to dress in bold colors from head to toe. However, the fashion conscious man will want to try perhaps a purple tie with that boring charcoal grey three-piece suit. A pair of brown tweed slacks will be lively with a burnt orange shirt. Try adding a patterned tie in shades of blue, orange’s complimentary color.

Daring New Patterns and Textures

The more daring dresser will love the new look of mixing patterns. Stripes, checks and plaids in coordinating colors are hot for men’s fashion trends this fall. Below, a basic black suit in a trendy cut is accented with black and white polka dots and paisley prints. There is likely to be lots of leather for fall, and an exaggerated fuzzy sweater will be a must-have to wear with jeans.

British Influence

A subtle influence from across the big pond is noticed for men’s fall fashion trends, 2012. Over-sized coats of three- quarters length for both casual and business wear is in vogue. Notice the newsboy hat worn with a bold striped pull-over sweater below. The more conservative dresser will appreciate this season’s tweeds and herringbones.

Three-piece suits

Three-piece suits are the rage in men’s fall fashions, 2012. Basic colors, bold colors, trendy cuts and traditional cuts will be seen on campuses and in offices. Wear them with a tie for a business look. Roll up the sleeves and take off the tie for a sexy, casual look.

Accessories

Scarves in bold colors will be worn with business and casual wear. Leather attache cases, oversized bags and studded gloves are among the accessories that will be hot for men’s fall fashions, 2012.

5 CLASSIC RUNWAY LOOKS FOR REAL LIFE – Guest Post by Ferina Santos

As models make their way down the runway do you ever find yourself drooling over their style? If so, you are far from alone. The runway is filled with clothing that makes the heart of any fashion lover skip a beat, but sometimes it can feel difficult to incorporate these extravagant looks into daily style.
Here are five classic runway looks that you can wear in real life.

1. The Military Pea Coat – This favorite form of outerwear is always in style and when accessorized correctly it can make a bold statement even in the cold months of winter. Find the coat in a neutral color and add a scarf with a bold print, and a tall boot to turn it into an eye-grabbing ensemble.

2. Nautical Themed Attire – Red, navy and white are in style any day and can easily be turned from runway star to wardrobe hit in no time. Pair a white and red striped top with a tan skirt. Or, go all navy and use red and gold jewelry and shoes to give it the nautical touch. Make it a truly maritime look with jewelry that has an anchor or wheel to give it that extra touch.

3. Classic Black and White – These are two colors that never seem to disappear from the runway. By using them with patterns and bold colored accessories you can make an outfit pop in a subtle and classy way. Pair a black and white striped shirt with a black shirt and add red shoes to give it that extra look of fun.

4. Sequins – Sequins have always added sparkle to an outfit and instantly turn a dull dress into a beauty. The best part about sequins is they can be worn either casually to liven up a tank top or shirt, or elegantly on an evening gown. For a truly lady like look, turn to sequins to transform your outfit from dull to attention grabbing with ease.

5. Flower Power – Flowers are never out of style. With their feminine look, this print or accessory can turn any outfit from boring to beautiful with natural ease. Add a flower to your hair, wear a floral shaped necklace, or go all out and wear a floral print for the most stunning floral looks that will always be a hit.

The Floppy Hat - Doubles as SPF and a glamorous accessory! You’ll find us wearing this coral J. Crew straw hat poolside in Palm Beach, people watching and not incurring the wrath of the South Florida sun.
The Retro Bikini – is the perfect match for our favorite hat. This Mara Hoffman bikini is whimsical, colorful, and body conscious in a good way. With curves in all the right places, this bikini will have you channeling screen sirens of yore.
The Perfect Cut-Offs - Truly, this summer staple needs no further explanation. However, we’ll indulge ourselves by gushing over how perfect this pair is by Citizens of Humanity. Perfect for afternoon ice cream runs & firefly catching alike, these are the ideal way to show some skin this summer.
The Summer Watch - must have two qualities. 1. A strikingly stark color palette (so as not to compete with your fun summer brights!) 2. It had better be water resistant. This rubber & stainless steel Cartier Chronoscaph 21 fulfills both prerequisites fabulously.
Anything Tribal - Tribal print is summer’s answer to neon. In fact, pairing tribal print with spring’s neon fancies is an excellent idea! We love this steal of a skirt from River Island; short, sweet, and under $100.
June’s Birthstone - should be honored in a thoroughly modern way. We’re obsessed with our Tifanny & Co. sterling silver and pearl dangle earrings. They’re elegant for evening, and come to life when your hair is swept up into a cool (cooling) ponytail.
What are your favorite trends for June?
