If you travel frequently, and especially travel through multiple countries and time zones, you recognize the value of an international watch. Such a watch can help you stay on track of what time it is where you are located and what time it is “back at the office”.
Breitling has a Tansocean Collection just for you. They recently have added a new Transocean Chronograph GMT to this collection and it offers some nice new details for a Breitling watch.
This new Transocean Chronograph GMT is completely developed and made in the Breitling facilities and its heart is an impressive self-winding chronograph calibre B04. When you enter a new country or time zone, you simply pull out the crown and turn it forward or backward according to your direction of travel. You can also see the 24 hour home-time indicator.
Breitling is apparently so happy with the caliber B04 chronograph that it has created it with a transparent sapphire crystal back. This clear back allows the owner to admire the inner workings of the caliber B04.
This will be a limited run for Breitling, with only 2000 of these watches created in a steel edition. A red gold version is even more rare, and vastly more expensive. Only 200 of the red gold models have been produced.
The Transocean Chronograph GMT. If you are a traveler it may not be too early to place this on your holiday gift list.
Maurice Lacroix focuses on the tradition and art of Swiss watchmaking, and strives to provide innovative designs to watch enthusiasts. The Pontos Collection is an intricate blend of traditional quality and modern style. Each watch has unique and innovative features, but all share a sporting theme. You can select from four different models to find the optimal timepiece to fit your needs.
Pontos Collection Watches
The four watch models of the Pontos Collection include the Pontos Extreme, Pontos S Diver, Pontos S and the Pontos Chronographe. The Pontos Extreme has a rugged and sporty look, and comes in three different eye-catching colors. According to Maurice Lacroix, the “automatic three-counter chronograph mechanism follows the rhythm of the oscillations of its ML112 caliber”. This feature and others make the Pontos Extreme an ideal timepiece for outdoor adventures.
The easy to wear and read Pontos S Diver is a professional diving instrument. This watch is water resistant up to depths of 600 meters, and is designed to withstand harsh diving environments. The Pontos S is all about natural sportsmanship. Divers, athletes and astronauts value this model for its modern style and functionality. It is water resistant up to 200 meters, lightweight and reliable for outdoor use. The Pontos Chronographe is operated by a Valjoux 7750 caliber, and is perfect for short time measurement.

New timepieces come and go, many leaving no significant impact upon the luxury watch market. They fade into the background never to be talked about again. The Harry Winston Opus XIII is not one of these watches. This revolutionary watch challenges, and perhaps improves, the way we view luxury timepieces. It says goodbye to the traditional moving hands. Instead, time is represented with several spinning circular movements and triangles. There are 59 individual hands that illustrate minutes and 11 triangles in the center, indicating the present hour.
This unique design will completely diminish any other timepieces in the room. The Opus XIII has ushered in a new era of watchmaking design. It has thrown out the most basic principle of watchmaking, the hand system, and completely re-imagined how to convey time.
As if the unique dial wasn’t enough, the casing itself is 18k white gold with a sapphire crystal dome. This was chosen to help prevent the nuisance of light reflection. Not to let the smallest detail go unnoticed, the strap is a hand stitched black alligator fabric – the perfect complement to the elegant design.
While the exterior is innovative enough to inspire beautiful poetry, the interior is where the science of watchmaking has been re-imagined. There are 364 various components at play within the innards of this timepiece. This sets a new record for a watch of this size and dimensions.
While the Opus XIII certainly has what it takes to hold its own in the mass market, Harry Winston has decided to only create 130 of these watches. This incredibly small supply means that getting your hands on the Opus XIII will be no small feat. However, it will certainly be a welcomed member to any luxury watch collection. If your wrist is ever lucky enough to bare this revolutionary timepiece, be prepared to answer an onslaught of questions!

This week’s featured watch is nothing short of sick. The Daytona itself is a gorgeous and impressive watch. Its various color and metal iterations suit each wearer’s unique sense of style. Like the classics? Go for a yellow gold white dial Daytona on a strap. Like it luxe? Bracelet all the way, and a platinum Daytona might just be up your alley. If you’re a lady who loves the men’s watch look, we’ve got a black dial Everrose Daytona with your name on it. But the Rolex Chocolate Daytona is our new personal favorite.
This gorgeous watch is a used Rolex we bought from a client last week in excellent condition. We could sit and marvel at the brightly polished Everrose case all day if the chocolate dial didn’t keep distracting us.
The dial features black Arabic markers, Everrose subdials, rose gold seconds track and rose gold hands (which are accurate up to 1/8th of a second – which you can also see from the fractions of seconds markers). The fixed black Cerachrom bezel is scratch resistant and UV-ray-proof, meaning it won’t ever lose its color. The bezel’s tachymeter engraving are painted rose gold to match the case.
A screw down crown and rose gold pushers ornament the side of the case.
We love the way the black leather strap ties the black ceramic bezel & markers together with the rose and chocolate. The rose gold Rolex Oyster deployant clasp is elegant and comfortable as always. To read more details on this watch, visit our listing for this Chocolate Daytona!
