What’s the Deal with This New Kim Kardashian Diamond Ring?

For weeks – if not months – press and pundits have been speculating on the likelihood of an engagement in Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s future. After Kanye treated Kim to an Italian getaway to celebrate her 32nd birthday many thought it was all but settled that he would propose.

Just this last week, on October 24, paparazzi spotted Kim at a Christian Louboutin boutique in Miami, Florida. The curvy celeb was sporting hip-hugging jeans, a black crocodile Hermes Birkin Bag, and a suspiciously large oval-shaped diamond ring on the pinky finger of her right hand.

Speculation that Kardashian was indeed engaged to hip-hop superstar Kanye West and has opted to wear the ring on her pinkie only out of deference to the fact that she’s still technically married to Kris Humphries has been more-or-less squashed by sources close to the starlet including Kardashian family matriarch Kris Jenner. Regarding whether or not the engagement rumor was true, Jenner said: “If it was, I would know about it.”

The Italy trip took the pair of lovers from Rome to Venice to Florence but the only special surprise was a custom birthday cake for Kim, who blogged “What a romantic weekend! One I’ll never forget.”

Still, one has to wonder if perhaps there will soon be another diamond ring in Kim’s future, perhaps in the next season of Kourtney and Kim Take Miami.

Breguet Reine de Naples Celebrates the Bicentennial of Its First Watch

Swiss luxury watch manufacturer Breguet celebrates the 200th anniversary of its first watch manufactured, this month. The watch was not only a first for Breguet but also possibly the first timepiece for the wrist. Breguet has commemorated the special occasion with production of the Reine de Naples Anniversary Edition watch.

Abraham Louis-Breguet made the wristwatch for Caroline Murat, the Queen of Naples and longtime admirer of his timepieces.

Breguet began celebration of the anniversary in January with a traveling exhibit which offered audiences a glimpse of the world’s first wristwatch as well as previews of the Reine de Naples collection. The collection, so-named for that queen who ordered the first exquisite timepiece from Breguet, consists of an exclusive watch and matching jewelry.

The anniversary edition watch takes design cues from the ovoid case of the original watch to which it pays homage. The watch’s bezel and snap are set with 28 diamonds and 27 blue sapphires; the movement of the timepiece is visible through the sapphire caseback. Another 233 diamonds and 303 sapphires of varying shades pave the gold dial and its flange while the alligator strap features a folding clasp set with another 26 diamonds.

To match the bejeweled watch Breguet will also offer the Reine de Naples Jewellry set, which includes a ring, a pair of earring, a necklace and a tiara. Each piece of jewelry hosts diamonds and sapphires set in 950 platinum and is designed around the central motif of a sapphire. Diamonds, sapphires and platinum- not a bad anniversary present!

The New Jeweled and Gold Visa Card Adds Some Flair to Shopping

The Amex Black has some new competition as the ritziest card you can pull out of your wallet. In collaboration with Kazakhstan’s Sberbank, Visa has released a solid gold, jewel-encrusted credit card with premium privileges to boot. The Amex Black itself has always had a bit of weight to it; one can only imagine the heft of a solid gold card in the back pocket.

The Visa Infinite companion card is available by invitation only to the top 100 Sberbank customer’s, guaranteeing a new level of exclusivity- as if being made of solid gold wasn’t exclusive enough. The card is manufactured in Russia by Rosan Diamond and made of solid gold with a brushed finish. The card is then embellished with mother-of-pearl and 26 diamonds with a total weight of .17 carats.

Besides the obvious opulence of its construction, the new bejeweled Visa Infinite offers a level of service to rival the infamous Amex Black card. Each Visa cardholder will have a personal manager with Sberbank, round-the-clock concierge service, and preferred entry at over 280 airports worldwide. Visa intends to make the card available to more markets in the a few years, including the Asia Pacific, Central Europe, Middle East, and Africa region.

If you thought people wanted to steal your credit card before, try pulling the gold Visa Infinite out of your wallet. One thing’s for certain about this card, though: calling to cancel and order a new card just got much more expensive.

Get Your GTL On With a Snooki Jewelry Line

Nicole Polizzi is a busy girl. The Jersey Shore star, better known as “Snooki,” is transitioning into motherhood with newborn son Lorenzo, planning a wedding and trying to make time for GTL*. And the latest bit of news from the reality TV star is that she’ll launch her own jewelry and accessory line – Snooki Couture by Nicole Polizzi Accessories – come November 12. Here’s a look at the hard-partying Snooki showing off a few items:

Call it a five minute extension to her soon-to-be expiring 15 minutes of fame (the sixth and final season of “Jersey Shore” is currently airing on MTV), but Snooki says her new fashion line will offer just about any type of accessory a girl could ask for. And keep in mind that Snooki already has her name plastered all over lines of sunglasses, shoes, slippers and makeup accessories (not to mention a couple of books and the “Snooki and JWoww” MTV spinoff show).

There are four collections in Snooki’s new line of accessories, none of which should surprise fans of “Jersey Shore.” “Wild Nights” offers animal-print items and there’s also the more ritzy “Daily Glam,” “Stars and Studs” and “Top it Off” collections. The items are expected to be somewhat affordable, as Snooki has given fans a sneak-peak at certain items that are slated to be priced at $9.99 and less. While “Daily Glam” offers more pristine accessories and “Stars and Studs” more along the unique, “Top if Off” is a collection specifically dedicated to hair accessories.

There’s no word yet on what her Jersey Shore cast mates think about her new fashion line, but one thing is for sure – be on the lookout for more side projects from the gang as their time at the shore house comes to a close.
